Sonoran Basic Health and Counseling Services

Graduate school is an exciting challenge, but sometimes it can all get a little overwhelming. To support our community's emotional and physical well-being, Sonoran University has contracted with Uwill, the leading student mental health and wellness solution. Uwill offers students free immediate access to teletherapy* and basic telemedicine.

To schedule teletherapy

  • Register with Uwill using your school email address.
  • Choose a therapist based on your preferences including immediacy, gender, language, ethnicity, and focus area
  • Choose a time that fits your schedule with day, night and weekend availability.

Dealing with a medical issue?

  • Connect with a physician for non-emergency medical needs through the Uwill platform. Just register using your school email address.

Looking for wellness resources?

  • Uwill also provides students free access to on-demand wellness programming through its easy to use online platform.
  • Select wellness from the left navigation and relax and recharge your mind and body with a wide range of wellness such as yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and more!
  • Allow Uwill to help you discover greater focus and balance as you navigate the semester.

Uwill is Private. Secure. Confidential. Access is quick and easy. You can register and book your first session in just minutes using your school email.

If you need any assistance, you can reach out directly to Uwill at support@uwill.com.

If you have any additional questions about the counseling and health services program, please contact the Dean of Students at DOS@sonoran.edu.

*Service is meant for short-term, acute issues. Your Care Advocate will assess your clinical needs, and determine how you can best be served. If the short-term solution-focused counseling of Uwill is not the best resource, or the situation requires long-term specialized treatment, they will assist you in connecting with an appropriate healthcare provider vie your insurance network, or within your community if uninsured.

Free Nutrition and Diet Consulting Program

Sometimes with the stresses of graduate school, students often do not take care of their nutritional needs. Whether it is a perceived lack of time, or simple convenience, the role of nutritional wellbeing is often overlooked. Nutrition impacts your ability to think clearly and logically, perform at peak capacity while under stress, bounce back from fatigue and injury, and fight off illness. It’s a critical part of your health and just as important as your studies.

Sonoran University offers all students access to free evidence-based, personalized nutrition care through our Virtual Center for Personalized Nutrition. All consultations and follow-up visits are provided at no cost, and all appointments are virtual so there is no need to be in the Tempe area to use this service. Please use the following link to schedule your appointment: https://www.sonoran.edu/virtual-center-for-personalized-nutrition/

Please note this service is also available at no cost to your friends, family, and the public across most states, nationwide. Our goal is to eliminate the greatest barrier to accessing high quality, evidence based, personalized nutrition care – cost.  So, there is absolutely no cost for care, for anyone. The only time a cost may be associated with a visit is if a client opts to purchase a dietary supplement or other item recommended by the provider as part of their care plan, but this is not required – it is an option.  So, for clients who do not wish to use supplements or cannot afford – their provider can focus recommendations on foods & lifestyle only.
