The SCNM Library collection includes core medical resources in the basic and naturopathic health sciences, specializing in topics of acupuncture, botanical medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, mind-body and traditional Chinese medicine. It is with this collection that the library augments the curriculum and supports the knowledge based information needs of the SCNM community.
       
Numerous books and journals are available in print and electronic format. The library licenses databases for on-site as well as remote access and include MD Consult, First Consult, Clinical Pharmacology, Alternate Health Watch, Natural Medicines Comprehensive, Natural Standard, Natural Medical Protocols, iCaduceus, GreenFILE, Netter’s Atlas of Human Anatomy, Films on Demand and RADAR.   
 
Visit the SCNM Lbrary on the first floor of the Academic Building to use the twelve computer workstations, both pc and Apple, with high-speed Internet access.  Visitors to the library have access to all library resources on-campus without login. Currently enrolled students in good standing, faculty and employees have remote, off-campus access to licensed electronic resources using your same Library Account login username and password. All workstations are equipped with the latest version of MS Office suite and have printer capability. A copy machine is also located in the library.
  
 
All Library resources on campus are available to currently enrolled students, faculty, alumni and employees as well as to the broader community. Currently enrolled students, faculty and employees have the ability to access electronic resources from off campus. In addition to curriculum support, the library staff provides circulation, research, and interlibrary loan services. SCNM Library supports your knowledge based needs after you graduate.

We offer alumni and community borrowers:
  • Check-out of print and multimedia items
  • On-campus access to licensed databases
  • Interlibrary Loan service
  • Research assistance

A Community Borrower Card may be purchased by patrons outside of the SCNM community who want to borrow books from the SCNM Library. Community Borrower Cards are issued on an individual basis for $25. annual fee. Cardholders are responsible for their account and cards are non-transferable. Cards can be renewed yearly.
